HELP spilled drink in cup holder

I was driving today and had a drink in the center consol cupholders when my friend went to grab the drink it tipped over and spilled inside the cupholders, at this time I was parked in my driveway when my truck started to switch from driver 1 to driver 2 on its own and then said check air suspension, then check all wheel drive, and some other stuff came up that it said to check, I am thinking this was from the water spilling into the center consol. What do you guys think happened, is this gonna be expensive to fix. Keep in mind I turned the truck off right away and didnt start it again. thanks

Having had coffee spilled in mine by an un-named wife of mine, I can speak from experience. Pull the shifter cover off, yes you'll have to dig around for the clips that will fall off, pull connector plugs apart that you find down there and blow out with compressed. Let them sit apart for a while and plug back in later.

You can use any air compressor, or any sort of compressed air. Even the computer keyboard cans.

Hope it helps.

Stick to Vodka in the A.M. It evaporates quickly!

Wish I could help, only thing I can do is tell you you're lucky! My wife's car has the worst design cup holders in the world. For some unknown reason, Mercedes decided to place them directly over the Nav, stereo, climate controls, etc. She spilled half of a cocktail one night. $8800.00 later, we have a new Nav unit and all the controls and switches cleaned.

What I'd like to know is what the idiot that designed this was smokin' !!!!!
