We are a conservative state. The overwhelming opinion here is that the public lands exist for the use of the public.

There are a couple great groups out here fighting against "SUWA" (Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance). They are the wackos whose board members are largely East Coast liberals that keep filing lawsuits to close lands (mostly 4x4 trails) in Utah. Those are the same whack jobs that want to drain Lake Powell. :notallthere:

Turns out that recently some high ranking SUWA board members were indicted for securities fraud in New York. The Utah legislature called them in to answer questions about whether any of those illegal funds filtered into "SUWA".

I forgot to add that this footage is current. This just happened this month.

The Clinton Administration created "The Grand Staircase Escalante Monument" without consulting any legislators (State or Federal) from Utah. SUWA was one of the groups lobbying him from Washington. The Sierra Club was another.

That took 9.1 million acres off the table for 4x4's.

The liberals in Washington know that Utah is overwhelmingly conservative, so they feel they have to save us from ourselves by taking the public land away from the public. This is our backyard, Hell these clowns probably don't even visit the lands they made off limits.

Maybe a mod can (should) move this to the land use section. :D

I realize nobody will look at it, but this is good stuff. Those SUWA board members have been stealing money and financing lawsuits to close public lands......fawkin liberals. :notallthere:
