Just watched The Mist by Stephen King....
 

Haven't been rattled by a movie ending like this in a long time. Jeebus the ending was a real gut buster. To do that to your own son and friends.:crying: Definitely one to remember.

Excellent movie. I give it a 4 stars out of 5 for my collection.

Loved the novella, must've read it 20 times and the movie didn't disappoint either. Awesome movie and reading material. Yeah, the ending is a real downer, so was the novella even though the endings are different.

I LOVE STEPHEN KING !!! The short story "the mist" is one of the best I ever read. I 'm not easily spooked (I'm a horror/thriller fanatic), but that story really got to me. The ending of the story was terrifying. I haven't seen the movie yet (is coming out on dvd next month over here). I 'm really wondering how they'll film the ending.

Frenzy, you'll really be shocked at the movie's ending! I love Stephen King too but lately his books weren't so good IMO however, I just finished Duma Key and loved it. Much more like his older good stuff. (The Shining, Pet Sematary, Christine, etc) I'd honestly almost given up on him since I haven't been able to finish anything from him since Rose Madder. Anyway, I'm a horror fanatic too! Rich isn't however, and he also liked The Mist. :)

^^ You should read one of his latest books : "cell". Very very good. I agree that his other last releases weren't that good anymore, but "cell" is back to good ol' horror !!
