WHY? |
Re: GM getting flack for supporting Gay agenda
I dont believe that homosexuality is right based on my personal beliefs,
secondly a large coporation like GM is just trying to get some spot light by saying or supporting Gay rights. What does homosexuality have to do with Vehicles. The time spent there could have been better placed in research and development or on rebuilding trails or something in the area of vehicles. just my .02, sorry if it offends B Quote:

You're not offending me dude.
I just wondered why the big issue, it seems to me that it's all about the money...somebody elses money.... |

so they shouldn't target women, or blacks or hispanics or trail riders or street drivers or whites or greens...dont make any particular group feel good so that they may buy your product, just hope they do...perhaps there is a chance that there are some gay people at GM and they are just supporting their employees.....but whatever you do, dont try to win over the public..... |
Re: GM getting flack for supporting Gay agenda
GM's just following Ford and Chrysler. Top 10 supporters:
1. Procter & Gamble 2. Verizon 3. Target 4. Ford Motor Company 5. Sears/Kmart 6. Honda 7. Chrysler 8. General Motors 9. Victoria’s Secret 10. Macy’s (Operates as Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s) |
Re: GM getting flack for supporting Gay agenda
Are you really trying to make sexual choices on the same plane as Ethnicity? I have never said to not support different demographics but that I just dont like the idea of supporting Homosexuals. I still miss how saying dont support gays translates as do not promote period. I did say that the time on Homosexuals could be better spent on other things that are more closely related to motor vehicles but I never said not to promote or advertise. Hope this clears it up for ya Agriv8r.

Re: GM getting flack for supporting Gay agenda
So I guess it's all back to the bottom line of GM's ability to "target a market" and their money -- not any of ours, as we've given it away for their product -- which is still coming out of somebody else's pocket and nobody on this thread....
Does it really matter when it's not our own money in the first place...this seems as if it's all about money and not the real issue of sexual preference or liberation. |

DISCRIMINATION is just that....too tall, short, fat, redhead, baldhead, rich, poor...doesn't really matter...it is all the same.....someone different than you, no matter the reason....not bitchin atchya, personaly from way down south and got to witness the ugliest form of it...just adding another opinion..... |

??????? Considering that GM has not been doing so well in recent years, I would say that they probably cant find the target market to well. I did not buy a Hummer because of GM but because of AMG, and yes there is a difference. If you want to talk about homosexuality then we can, and I personally do not support, par take, or condone it in any shape or form. Thanks, B |

I don't want to talk about homosexuality with you or anybody else for that matter.... My views are mine and I don't condone it, on the same token, I'm not a homophobe either. The underlying theme behind the "Richard Wagoner is getting heat for GM's decision to support Gay publications..." is one of domination. Nothing more, nothing less. I assert that the $hit slingers are doing so mainly due to money/greed. What year is that 2 you're driving? |
Re: GM getting flack for supporting Gay agenda
My H2 is a 2004 and no matter what year you tell me that GM took over the design and manufacturing of the Hummer H2 AMG still had input and original Design. This leads me to the thinking that all the good on an H2 is AMG and all the crap is GM. This being said, I do not hate GM but I do not buy a vehicle because it says GM. I am looking at the new Camaro and I love the new vette. I think they are great cars but once again not because they say GM.
Thanks B |
Re: GM getting flack for supporting Gay agenda
GM makes a good product...for that matter I think they are all comparable. But I don't buy vehicles because of my "love" for them either. While I would like to drive a Vette in order to play, owning one just wouldn't be practical in Alaska. I bought my 3 for the capabilities it has with snow and off road, for the times it ends up where it shouldn't be, Anchorage drivers can relate. Personally I'd rather, and will purchase a used 1 but hang on to the 3 for the commuter gas mileage. The wife was dead set on buying a 2 but now that gas is climbing as fast as it is, she'll probably go with something else. As far as "who made who" goes for the 2004, well -- I wouldn't try to tell anybody anything bout their purchase decision -- that's nmp, I'm cool with my purchase of my 3.

"What year is that 2 of yours...." If that was not your interntion with this question then what is the purpose for the question and what relevance does it have? Thanks B |

The purpose and scope of my question was based on your rationale in the following statement: Quote:
I was trying to see the logic behind someone purchasing a GM product and calling it junk at the same time. Which you pretty much cleared up with this statement: Quote:
Oh yeah, and if you search the forum you'll see that I never tell, or have told, anybody, what I thought about their purchase decision of a vehicle. |
