Another radio question

Is there any way to use the factory bose subwoofer in my 2003 with an aftermarket deck and aftermarket speakers.

Now, before you bash me, hear me out. I had a Kenwood DDX-6019, Kicker Solo-baric L7 10", an 800w mono amp, kenwood powered dual 8" subs (under the seat), and blaukpant components. Well, it all got stolen with the exception of most of my components. So I was definately not going to install the parts again so they can get stolen again. Sooooo, I was wondering if anyone knew the specs (ie. voltage and ohm ratings for the sub that the Bose system uses) Also, would I be correct to say it is in my dash behind and below my radio? When I was installing all this stuff I remember it was the last speaker hooked up while I was working on it all and I would swear that's where I heard it.

So if you know anything that can help, please post. Thanks

Um I have a 2003 with Bose and OnStar and I have replaced the factory radio myself but I do not remember any Subwoofer under the factory
radio unit.

Also there are many aftermarket compaies that make adapters to add a subwoofer / amp to a Bose system on the Hummer.

Re: Another radio question

When I say under, I mean like deep down in the dash. I know it had a sub, and I have pulled every panel and been under just about every inch of that interior other than deep in the middle of the dash. Installing yourself has it's advantages. I have talked to local radio install guys about it all and they don't usually have much to add. From what I can recall, the factory deck outputs a different Ohm which is why you need the adapters and what not when using the mixed factory/aftermarket setup. Thanks for the help though.

Well if there is a sub in the dash area or somewhere else it dead or broken.
