New aftermarket front bumper
OK, so a leading manufacturer of high end aftermarket offroad equipment is set to release a new front bumper with integrated winch mount for the H3. I hope to post part numbers, pricing, pictures, and availability very soon.
However before they are completed they would like to know from us, the consumers our preference for a standard color. The choices are black or Grey. Please post comments to the reasoning of which color would be best as well as you interest in a product like this. |
Re: New aftermarket front bumper

06-07 Models will require a purchase of the 08 Skidplate. The 08 bolted right on mine, I will post pics of the one on my rig later today. |
Re: New aftermarket front bumper
Awesome!!! Thanks for the info! So, what colors will be available??

Re: New aftermarket front bumper
OK, Late June ETA, but the questions still remains about that bumper fitting ALPHAS.
The 08 H3 and 08 H3 Alpha have a difference in the front end's support. Due to the additional corssbar, if they didn;t look into that, it will not work with 08 or newer Alpha models...maybe it will and they worked around it. Other H3 bumpers (I know of two manufacts) didn;t take this into account (mainly because the Alpha's wern't out as of yet) and you have to cut that support bar out or hack the hell out of the new bumper for it to fit. Cut the support bar out and your warranty is done on a few EXPENSIVE items. So, does anyone have confirmation that it will work on the Alphas? |
Re: New aftermarket front bumper
Here is the Australia info from ARB's website.
http://www.arb.com.au/new-products/Hummer-H3.pdf Standard color will be black, with an option to color match the color. |
Re: New aftermarket front bumper
Are you talking about the bar that bolts on across the front under the radiator? The same support bar that is the reason for the different skid plate?

Re: New aftermarket front bumper
Nice!! Thanks for the pic! So, is that an ARB roof rack on top of your rig? Could we get a side shot of the bumper?
Thanks for all the info! |

Yes on the rack, it is the short touring rack with the gutter fit kit(with some additional fab to make it fit that rack) There is a proper fit kit to be out soon though.
Here is the side shot, it sticks out about the width of the winch controller box. Quote:

This bar is connected to the frame rails that the tow hooks attach to. Could you forward an EMail address to me through PM, I can send you hi-res pic of the bar. From what I understand this bar acts as a lateral support bar so the frame cannot twist on teh front end. I'm not sure on the proper terminology for it. Do you work for ARB? If so, I'd like to talk with you if you have a few minutes. |
