The designers at Hummer are not resting on their laurels...The H2 replacement models are already in their design labs...

What we know...

The next version will be about 9" lower than the current version. It will give the vehicle a much wider looking appearance and look more like the H1, even though dimensionally it won't BE any wider.

Surprise! It will get better gas mileage.

A turbo diesel vesion will be built.

Material quality in the interior will be MUCH higher than in the current H2

Co-branded versions are in development (ala Explorer Eddie Bauer)

A navigation system will be available.

It will ride better with a new air-suspension system.

More details as we get them...

It would be near impossible to lower the H2 without losing ground clearance or compromising off road articulation. Current duramax diesel is too big for H2 engine compartment - a radical redesign or smaller diesel would be needed. Any improvement in the cheap interior would be welcome. I don't thing GM will change much for at least 5 years based on their track record with other models/lines.

Ya.. that's what I was thinking. GM needs to upgrade the interior and the engine. The exterior makeup is unneeded as the Hummers have a timeless design.
