It exemplifies the H2, Warn, GOBI, and BFG.

It however, does not support Tread Lightly, Sierra Club, Greenpeace, etc.

I would have to agree... What is a Sierra Club? A new golf club for the woods?

Is there a HUMMER in that pic, Albie? It's so small. It could be a shoebox, or maybe a minivan, I can't tell.

So.....How long did it take you to clean it up?

Joe 08-12-2003 09:26 AM

Cleaning the outside is the easy part. Look under the hood. That's where the clean up challenge really is.

I was mudding like this about a month ago and had no problem washing the truck off but I never looked under the hood at the time. Couple weeks later I went under the hood to check something and WHAM!, everything was coated in a fine film of dry mud. Now cleaing the engine bay is a pain.

Also gave me a true appreciation of the stock "enclosed" air filter and how it probably helped keep me from ingesting water. An open "hi-pro" filter for sure would have been trashed and posed a serious risk. If you doing this type of off-roading think carefully about the performance filters.

Hours! The "full service" car wash ran it through 5 times, then we took it to a do-it-yourself bay. Started on the roof (thanks to Paul and Sandra at GOBI for that ability), then the doors, windows, etc. Then under the hood (a big mess indeed) then I pulled the wheel caps off and did the wheels, the door jambs, the undercarriage. Then we went back to the car wash, ran it through 1 more time, and had it detailed a bit. It took hours, total.

Wow. I went home and drove thru a car wash...once. Sometimes it pays to just watch. I can live with a lack of bragging rights!
