Road noise in my new "06".
 

I just bought a used 2006 H2 SUT. It has 17,400 miles on it. I owned an 05 H2 SUV for 3 years prior. It seems like in my new 06 that I can hear the road or the drive train more when cruising. The previouse owner flat towed the truck and I'm wondering if maybe there is some wear in the differentials? Tires look good and all functions fine. Its not really a whine but like that sound of off road tires on pavement, but I never heard this in my SUV. I was also thinking that maybe it SUT specific. Maybe its echoing a bit under the taneau cover? or coming from that rear bed area? anyone hear of anyting similar?

You said the tires look good....... is that tread depth or did you look for any cupping or uneven wear? That is whats gonna cause the noise.

I'll have to have a closer look. I also need to check the PSI.
