Need Help about hummer 14" lift kit ???

1 Attachment(s)
I was searching the net looking for a lift kit for my Hummer H2.

I found this one ! 14" inch with BIG tires 44 or 49.

Its at full throttle suspension and this is the link.

http://www.fullthrottlesuspension.com/model/index/1/15

Is it fixable on the car ?

Can it be done ? by a not that expert in lift kits ?

Do i need to make any modification to the car in gear reshos or other stuff ?

Or do i need other stuff with this kit ?

Any one is fimlier with this kind of lift kits ?

Thank you :)

Kick ass lookin H2...but forget about saving on any gas. You'll go from 12mpg to 1-2mpg...

I don't think he has the same concerns about the cost of gas since he's in Saudi Arabia. What's the cost of gas there? Maybe 50 cents a gallon. I would probley have a couple H2's or maybe a H1 if I was there.

Yeah, put the biggest diesel in it you can fit, or a 502ci, because the stock motor will barely move that truck out of its own way with those tires.

Where is Saudi are you. I was in RIYADH, Hafr al Batin and tabouk! O by the way if you regear you will be alright with the tires. Bulletproof makes a 12 inch kit too, but given the tires it will equate to more than 12. Watch for modifications to the vehicle as some of these so called kits require cutting or mods. Love the tamese.

Re: Need Help about hummer 14" lift kit ???

I have one of my H2's lifted (with a 6" lift and 38" tires) one problem with going with 14 inch lift you start to loose side clearance. If you are driving down some of the roads there and "you know how some of the people drive" you might run over someone. I have been to Al Kobar and drove to Bahrain many times too. I liked that place. Ok for an idea you can PM me and I can tell you about my experiences with the Lift and costs. My kit went on real smooth and I am certain some of your mechs can get it done. The kit I bought was totally bolt on which included the new proper offset drive shafts and double shocks for the front. :)

Those tires wont run you much since they are super swampers and are generaly dirt cheap, at least down here in louisiana where they make them they are. As far as the lift goes i would pay someone to install it if you have no previous experience, shouldnt cost you much over a grand to get it profesionaly installed.

you have good point i agree with you .

But unforchanly there is no over here in saudi thats an expert in lift kiting, but me and some mechanic's where thing it over for a challenge . is it harder then engine rebuilding or transmission rebuilding?

And the set of super swamper tires goes for how much for a 44 or 49 ? pluss the kit ?

if i can get it i am mostly driving it on highways can it stand 60 to 80 mph?

Re: Need Help about hummer 14" lift kit ???

I dont know much about lifting but i dont think its rocket science, i have some friends who are not the brightest and they do it. As far as driving im not real sure but it will probably shake a bit at those speeds, hell mine shakes now and all i did was get bigger tires. As far as tire price i cant check right now because the site is blocked on this computer but i know they are not much. Check on 4wheelparts.com the tires are interco superswamper Iroks. To bad you are all the way over in saudi i found a 44x14.5 irok on side the road a few months back, hardly any wear and never been in the mud. Its new home is a tire swing at my buddies house.

That is not just a lift. It looks like a solid axle swap.

If you don't work on them yourself (and it sure doesn't sound like you do) or if you don't have someone else in mind that has experience....... don't bother.

That truck has much that could go wrong...... You can send for the parts...... sending for the tech to do the work is another story........ or maybe not for you. :giggling:
