Leak in sunroof help
I have read on other threads that hoses need to be cleaned out or they're pinched. Is this something we can do ourselves and if so, where would they be located? Some on here have said to use cans of compressed air; I was wondering if that might work. We'd appreciate any help since we do not have a Hummer dealer within a hundred mile radius.

Re: Leak in sunroof help
The drain line is at the corner of the open sunroof, which goes down the A pillar on the passenger side.
I cleaned mine with a can of compressed air, using a length of small-diameter clear hose (the kind used for aquarium pumps). Prod VERY carefully as you go down deeper the drain line hose. Might help to gently massage the drain line hose (which is clearly visible under the A pillar's grab handle/trim), to break down dried mud/dust clogs. For center leaks, you might also want to check the top marker lights. Others have been successful sealing them with black rtv silicone. |

:iagree: At least your roof didnt leak this bad! I agree just put some compressed air in the drain tube and blow out the obstruction.

Re: Leak in sunroof help
My 05 has a drain tube down pass and one on drvr side.
The DS hose was completely off of the nipple on the sunroof. Found it after I put more RTV on all of the marker lites than 1 person should be allowed to use on a car. I had to remove the A pillar handle and trim and drop the center console to get enough play in the headliner to squirm my arm up there and reattach the hose. RTVd that hose onto the nipple too. |

Re: Leak in sunroof help
Water coming out of the of the overhead console might not be a sunroof leak. It could be the center marker roof light. It might have to be pushed back in unitl it locks, or maybe a new seal is needed. Sometimes they can get knocked loose by a car wash. I would check that first before blowing out the sunroof drains. If you blow them out to hard you can actually have the tubes blown off the connection and really have a water problem.
