What's happend

Went to Silver Beach (MI) yesterday and ran in the Dunes. Came acroos the top of this hill a litle to fast. ( people claim the truck was 10'-15' airborne) Besides the windshield cracking on the passenger side and the drivers door rubbing when you open and close it their is no vissable damage. When the truck cam down the first part that hit (hard) was the drivers side front.
The door makes sence but the windshield on the oposite side is puzling. The front end definatly needs an allignment.
Any ideas??? Is the frame majorly out of wack ???

Ouch!

An H2 is not a dune buggie

I bet there is some major damage

Let us know how it turns out at the dealer or frame shop.

Stewart, the windshield cracking on passenger side is common when jumping an H2. Do a search and you will find it.

Can you please post pic of how the door is rubbing so I can see what is wrong there. GM hinges wear easily and can go out even without jumping. Being that it's a driver's door where the problem is and gets the most use, it could be an issue with the hinges. Suprizingly, H2s have taken similar jumps with the only known issue being the windshield cracking.

OK. I don't think it was 30' even though it felt like 50 when I hit ground. Got the truck at a frame shop. Frame is 100%. He called it radiator support. I called it Dod house is pushed up a litle. $300.00 and it will be like new & another $210.00 and listening to the wife the rest of my life for the Windshield and nobody will ever know.

He claims I was lucky that the drivers side came down first. It is not even out of alignmnet!.

BTW this was the 3rd year going over that hill. For some reason I was never going that fast before.

I think the most damage was done by my seatbelt. my shoulder and ribs still hurt.

And for everybody's info "I DID RETIRE MY FLAG AFTER THIS ONE"

I think someone should let great lakes know how little damage there was, since they said h2's are sissy.
