Its so sad!

Took a ride up to the new Cabellas in Scarborough Maine Yesterday. Its about an hour away from home. I figured while we were up that way I would stop into The Hummer dealership in So. Portland and check out there T-shirts and stuff. (They have a nice litle HUmmer pro shop with shirts and gear.). I pulled into the dealership and not a single Hummer could be seen. Nothing but chevy's ! They have one of those nice newer Hummer buildings, but now its filled with Chevy's. You would never know they sold Hummers there! I checked out the HUmmer goods down back and they had a nice selection of stuff, but not alot. They were selling everything at 50% off! I grabbed a T-shirt, sweat shirt, hat and few other things, great deal! I asked the manager why the great sale. he said it was time to get rid of eveything. I asked him if they had any Hummers for sale here. he said they have a few but just aren't stocking many at this time. I bought my 06 SUT here in May and the show room had the limitd edition Aqua Marine and some other nice H2's and H3's. Now its all Chevys. I asked hime if the still had the The Aqua Marine and he said they had it up the Street at the Chevy site out on the corner near the street for more visibility. It was pretty sad to see that nice Hummer Building with no HUmmers in it!!! WE chatted a little bit and the dealership owner hopes GM can turn Hummer around because he would like to keep the brand. he said the Customer loyality is amazing. I asked if GM drops Hummer do they think there would be a major law suite. He said thay had a meeting about that, the dealership owner believs that GM would cut all the dealerships a check, I guess like a settlement or buy back. The few Hummer dealerships around here are really losing business and faith in Hummer. It used to be exciteing going into a Hummer show room. Now its just sad. I hope Hummer can survive with or with-out GM.

I was in Lynch Hummer Thursday picking up some touch up paint and there was one person there looking at an H1 in the back and that was it. The service department was busy with a couple of H1s in the bays and and four H3s getting worked on.
I heard the same thing, that GM is going to cut the Hummer dealers a check when the brand is sold and offer them another GM brand. I still think GM messed up by announcing the possible sale publicly. They should have just done it and told every one after the fact - sales wouldn't have suffered so badly.

Intercooled,

I checked out your H2 two days before you bought it. I was there looking to trade in my leased H3 for on of the twin H2's they had. They were basically giving away those loaded 2's.

I stopped by the Hummer building last week; I live in Portland, and it was a ghost town - 1 total Hummer on the lot. I asked about getting a H3T when my lease is up and they told me they weren't getting any in stock. What?!?!? They said they could get one for me but how do they expect anyone to buy a $35 - $40,000. vehicle without actually seeing or driving it???

I was sooo excited when Hummer came to Maine now I don't know what I'll do when my lease is up??? I guess they are carring their stock down the street at Pape Chevy and Chevy/Mitsubishi is taking over the beautiful-new Hummer building. Blasphemy!!!
