HGW signed a sponsorship agreement today with ARCA as one of their Series Sponsors, providing my yellow Hummer as their Official Courtesy Vehicle--it will transport people to and from various places to the Garage Area in 23 races across the US this year, including Daytona, Pocono, Michigan International, and Talladega.

HGW will be in the Garage at Daytona next week for the ARCA 200 and also for the Budweiser Shoot Out--both live on SPEED CHANNEL.

At the green , there will 65K people in the stands, rising to 90K for the Shoot Out. Almost every NEXTEL driver will be in the Garage with their cars getting ready for the Shoot Out.

Eligible Drivers for 2006 Budweiser Shootout

Past Winners of the Budweiser Shootout:
Jimmie Johnson (2005 race winner) One Bud Pole, 2005
Dale Jarrett (1996, 2000, 2004) One Bud Pole, 2005
Dale Earnhardt Jr. (2003)
Tony Stewart (2001, 2002) Three Bud Poles, 2005
Mark Martin (1999)
Rusty Wallace (1998)
Jeff Gordon (1994, 1997) Two Bud Poles, 2005
Ken Schrader (1989, 1990)
Bill Elliott (1987)
Terry Labonte (1985)

2005 Budweiser Pole Award Winners:
Eight Bud Poles:
Ryan Newman

Four Bud Poles:
Elliott Sadler

Two Bud Poles:
Kevin Harvick
Kasey Kahne
Matt Kenseth

One Bud Pole:
Kyle Busch (first-time entrant)
Scott Riggs (first-time entrant)
Michael Waltrip
Brian Vickers
Jamie McMurray
Joe Nemechek
Carl Edwards (first-time entrant)
Denny Hamlin (first-time entrant)

My Hummer will be on hand for the Shoot Out as well.

I have also sponsored an ARCA car driven by Billy Venturini, Car 25, ARCA. He was hurt badly at last years ARCA 200 so I should get some TV time or press from that sponsorship. HGW will be on the two rear quarterpanels of his car.

Hopefully Earnheart, Jr and Stewart will stop over to the HGW truck as they both are Hummer entusiasts--25% chance in my opinion--they are busy in the Garage area.

This opportunity for HGW is quite large and I am grateful for the opportunity to support such champions.

The HGW Girls will not be at Daytona but will be at Pocono and other races. I will have an event schedule up on my site after Daytona.

Now--send some work to the HGW GARAGE so I can pay for this deal!

Congratulations on the Sponsorship.

shipbldr 02-03-2006 08:00 PM

Congratulations!

I'm sure there was a lot of hard work and effort behind getting that lined up. Sounds like an awesome event to be a part of.

Way to go HGW!!

HGW 02-03-2006 08:05 PM

shipbldr:

We need to get you up here right after Daytona for your work.

You have no idea how hard is is to get the privelege to be a sponsor for this type of Series unless you are Proctor and Gamble that has a 5 billion dollar advertising budget.

I met Ken Schrader at PRI, who knew my Hummers from the WoO. He got me access to the ARCA President and I took it from there......for many, many weeks and a trip to the ARCA 2005 Banquet for the networking. They are GREAT people.

Wow! Congratulations.

Good call on Billy V. You have to keep us informed with the schedule so we can check it out.

Dan 02-04-2006 11:16 AM

Congrats HGW! That's going to be a great tour with those guys.

I'll take Campbell Box at Daytona please.

Co-Pilot:

Do you know Billy V?
He was hurt badly last year---I am meeting himn for the first time next week.

h2co-pilot 02-04-2006 11:45 AM

No, unfortunately I was being greedy and thinking of the coverage on that- thought it was smart. I just called him Billy V. because I was lazy and didn't wan't to spell it.

But he sounds Italian and they can drive.

HGW 02-04-2006 12:09 PM

co-pilot:

I just met him yesterday. The more exposure he gets, the more $ he gets--a win-win.

He is a great driver--the only reason for the sponsorship. Since he was hurt badly last year, the press coverage will be huge.

My mechanic, cleaning guy and me need to work all weekend installing some new goodies and getting it ready. I NEED more people to work here but only the best--and they are hard to find at any price.

PARAGON 02-04-2006 02:22 PM

Congrats John. Pretty damn cool.

NSANE 02-04-2006 02:31 PM
