A little advice please from the H3 owners.

I currently own an 06 H3 adventure package and love it. But here's the issue. My H3 has 48k (warranty end) on it and the wife needs a new vehicle as well (she's got a junker)
Should I trade the O6 in and buy two new ones with fresh 100k waranties? One for me and one for the wife.
Or, should I hold onto the 06 hand it down to her and just get myself a brand new H3.

Also What are the best deals people are getting out there, especially on the east coast.

Thanks in advance for your replies

Keep yours, buy the wife a new one. :)

I've seen roughly 10K off with the employee discount and a $6000 rebate applied. BUT, it is my guess that very few 08s are left out there. My dealer, which is not all that big has 1 left. The rest, 15 -20 or so, are 2009s. And, btw, they have no Alphas. I dont think they're going to order any. And they only have 1 Adv pkg.

But I wold have liked to have done the same thing, trade the 06 for an 08, but couldn't find a 5-speed with Adv pkg, w/o a sunroof.

Go see the dealer and see what hes got either way. Dont bring your wife or she will want then new one!!

Then decide and shop around for the best deal:grouphug:

Happy hunting.

:iagree: with the folks stating that you should keep your original H3 and then buy your wife the new one.

Purchase an extended warranty for your original H3 if you are worried about future mechanical problems.

Your wife will be happy driving the new car, this will allow you to buy even more cool upgrades for your H3. And you wont have to worry about mechanical problems either with an extended warranty.

This sounds like a good plan. :excited:

Buy your wife a new vehicle...BUT...buy what she wants, not what you want....lesson learned from someone you went through a divorce.......

I'm jaded because I too have an '06, but the neat thing about it is that it is the only year with the 3.5 liter, and even though the newer models have a slightly bigger bore diameter, there is something nostalgic about having the first model year of a vehicle.
Besides, the adventure package itself is what makes the truck so awsome. If you can't find an '08 that has it, you will have to build an '09. Say goddbye to the great price.

take care of your wife and get her a new car. if she is driving a junker around and you have a vehicle with only 48k miles do the right thing and take care of your woman.

lucky to be able to buy 2 new vehicles. BUT WHY? in this economic times.
car dealers are flooded with lease returns. hummer is no exception.
i bought a 06 H3 w/ 21k miles on it for less than 19k ! it is practically new !
there were at least 4 other ones with similar discounts. look in car trader. dealers are frantic trying to unload these trucks.

so why buy new? save a ton of money and get semi-new, off lease. that's the smart play now.
