Tire pressure sensor
 

I have been getting a light and "gong" for tire pressure. I had this looked at and re-calibrated by the dealer. No change. It goes on and off and is annoying. Due to the fact that I have a US vehicle in Canada I don't get warranty. Can I disconnect the system? can I trouble shoot and figure out which tire sensor in not working and fix it myself?

I wouldnt disconnect it if I were you. It dings once and then after a few miles the message goes away yes?
I used to get this in cold weather. I added air to the tires..perhaps 38 lbs or so, and the message went away on cold mornings.

It continually goes on and off and is a pain in the A$$..... Have tried to over inflate a bit with no change....:confused: :confused:

Did you change tires or rims to effect the tpm sensors.

Did you do a tire rotation and not reset the system?

Either way...

You may want to reset TPM system anyway. It only takes about 5 to 10 minutes at the service station with a good air pump and your H3 service manual.

Disconnection of it not recommended.

I wouldn;t disconnect either...but if I could find that little "ding" I would take a hammer to it!!!!:raar: Mine does it every morning and I had mine set to a "lower psi" before the "ding" goes off. It still fricken does it, but goes away after a few minutes of driving.

I have the same thing happening. Just wondering why not dissconnect it? If your tires are low you should spot it and not need a sensor.

find the MAX TIRE PRESSURE for your tires (on the tire, not the door)

go to closest air station (if its far just sit there till tires cool off)

pump up to the MAX PRESSURE...

end of problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:beerchug:
