removing side view mirror glass
 

Has anyone changed their side veiw mirror glass? mine is upside down (the heated mirror symbol upside down and in the bottom right corner as opposed to the upper left) since I bought it, and it is really starting to bug me. Im not sure if I just got a flat blade behind it and tried to pop it out if it would break, or if there are clips holding it etc.. any help would be great!

I just yanked mine to remove the chrome insert from the '06 style mirror...I pushed the mirror all the way to the inside and pulled it. You're going to have to yank pretty hard but it'll come out.

I did the research on the forum...with not much to go on, I performed the previous mentioned task, most delicately as to not break anything...well I ended up separating the knuckle piece from the mirror assy and motor assy and also one of the plastic drive arms broke off. This was the second attempt, my first attempt on the driver side was successful by prying outward on the bottom middle of the glass.

Long story short, beware of how you proceed with the removal. These parts that have been broken cannot be purchased...according to the dealer, they are part of the motor and I have to fork out money for another mirror assembly because of idle hands.
