Burned CDs in a h2?
is there anyway to make them play in the h2. most of the time they skip, but does anyone know how to get them to work right?

Re: Burned CDs in a h2?
I have an ENtronics DVD±RW Dual Layer burner and most of my burned CDs play fine in my H2. Just make sure your burner is capable of writing and re-writing DVD-RW DL and DVD+RW DL.

I have used the cheapest from Disc Makers that were free with the purchase of a burner and I have used Memorex 700MB without issue. Mostly burning from iTunes in a Plextor PX-740A. It may be your burner. The burner in my wife's laptop has issues and those discs skip in both our cars. E |

I've used the burner on my Gateway Computer and all the discs played without problem in the Hummer. |
Re: Burned CDs in a h2?
I'm gonna get a cleaning disc, but does anyone know if Cd-RW disc play better than Cd-R?
|
Re: Burned CDs in a h2?
I've used both with no problems. My biggest problem is being careful storing them. I normally just throw them in the console and they get scratched.

If your disks are skipping during playback, try burning them at a slower speed. Burning at 48X and higher will produce more errors, especially with poor quality media. |
Re: Burned CDs in a h2?
thanks for all the help, ill get a cleaning disc and burn at a lower speed.

Re: Burned CDs in a h2?
I ended up burning mine at a slower speed and they work fine now. My 05' stock system never played a burned disk for 2 years until I asked this same question in off topic. Thanks to COHummer, I got it working in no time.:beerchug:

I only seem to have problems when using CD-RW, they skip and sometimes just stop playing altogether. Never had a problem with a CD-R. They burn faster too. :) |

When they weren't playing correctly, they sounded like they were scratched. |
Re: Burned CDs in a h2?
As said buring at slower speeds can make the disc work. I had this trouble a while ago and after burning at the slower speeds I never had a problem again.

I think using the cleaning disk from time to time (every couple of months) and writing them at low speed is the best deal |
