TVS 1900 H2

Just got my 08 H2 back with the new magnacharger on it. It is faster than before and it stays at 70-80 mph on freeway with no problem. I am running 37" tires on it, does anyone know if I should change the gears out and beef the tranny up. The tranny is a 6l80e

With my first H2, I installed big tires. (38's) That killed my gas mileage and performance.

So I installed 4.86 gears. That brought my mileage back up to where it was but I was still lacking in performance. At 70mph on the highway, I couldn't leave the truck on cruise control without it kicking out of overdrive.

Then I installed a supercharger (Maggie also). It ran great but at highway speeds (80-85), I was getting 8-9 mpg.

That sucked.

I only installed 35's on my new SUT but still am contemplating installing a supercharger. I found a brand new maggie in the box with intercooler for 2750.

You'll probably want to install a set of gears. Be prepared to kick a lot of people's azz out of the hole.

I am also getting about 8-9 mpg with the 37" tires. Wondering if I put the stock back on, would it go back to normal ie: 13.5mpg. Did u dyno your Hummer?

Why did u install the 4.86? What is stock? I had an excursion with 40's on it and I upgraded to 4.11.
