Questions on Power Chip...

Does anyone know if I need to have gauges, sensors, or anything additional added to my ride after installing a Chip? It is a Superchips brand, model Cortex 2950. I have heard horror stories about people burning stuff up and ruining engines with chips, and I do not want to install this thing ignorantly. Any of you tuners out there have some advice? Thanks.

I have The superchips programmer also, and I have had it for 4 or so years now with no problems. No extras should be needed or any special guages. This was one of the first changes I made to the Hummer with no other changes.
