I am going to add a laptop with a 7 inch touch screen monitor.I figure the laptop can fit under front seat, not sure where I am going to place monitor yet.Wirelss network card along with mini wireless mouse and keyboard should do the trick.Plus I can hook the sound rite into aux of my Alpine.

That would be very cool. Post pics as you work on it.

There's a guy in the H2 threads working on one.

I just wish there was a way I could dock my Palm Treo 650 and have the display routed to a larger touch screen mounted in the console. Just physically larger so I can see it from further away, not higher resolution.

The Treo has everything I'd need in an onboard computer... phone integration with all my contacts, GPS navigation (TomTom Navigator 5 works great), video camera (for backup or underbody for off-road), mp3 playback, wireless internet access, voice activation, games, and so on.

This setup would be a fraction of the price of a full blown PC system, a lot less power consumption, instant on, and most of all I just have one set of contacts, music, and data that I carry everywhere (no need to copy or synch to multiple computers).

It seems like it would be rather straightforward if there was some way to get a remote display out of the PDA. Anyone have any idea how to do that? Think I'll start investigating this.
