New Member from Germany
6 Attachment(s)
I am a retired Army soldier living in Germany. I have a 2003 H2. Was a bit underpowered, so it has been transformed into a 6.7 liter (408 CI) beast. It is still in the shop (Rays "Classic" Garage) in Oregon. Should be finished in the next three weeks. I will ship it Germany to infuriate my neighbors on Sunday morning as well as the the Polezei in mid December. I will post some pics of the completed project and some tech photos of the engine and transmission mods. Most of the components are listed in my signature block.:beerchug: Prosit!

HP and Torque numbers
Well, I have seen a lot of inflated HP figures on the internet. Most are bolting on headers, exhaust, CAI and a chip and claiming 550-600 HP. The stock LQ4 should put out about 325 HP and 370 ft lbs of torque. I have much more than this on my engine, and I know I wont get these numbers.
I could have put out more top end HP, but I am not drag racing it. I decided to make it a torque monster with the cam grind and intake. If I went to a more radical cam and different intake, I am sure it would be around 550 HP at 6200 RPM or so. With my cam grind and intake, I am looking at 480 Hp at 6000 RPM and 450+ ft lbs of torque at 5000 rpm. This is just a SWAG, we will see what it really does on a dyno. It will make great power from 1500-5000 RPM, and have more low end torque and more HP at lower RPMs than the drag/street racing motors. Sorry for the long speech, but I wanted to explain why the HP numbers are not as high as most claim... |

Re: New Member from Germany
Welcome dude!
Nice rig, the only thing I request is for you to take a sound clip of the sound of the beast once you rev it up...... :jump: I'm sure its gonna be insane!!!! keep us posted! |
Re: New Member from Germany
Thats freakin sweet! what you expect 0-60 times to be!?
Rich |
0-60
0-60 might be a problem. It's gonna smoke the tires so hard the speedo is going to say 100 and the truck will barely be moving....:beerchug:

Hi !
Welcome to the site !!! fRenzy Belgium |
Re: New Member from Germany
Thanks for the welcome. I already like this forum. Lots of talk and not uptight group. We need to have a Hummer Rally and meet some where in Germany with all the guys I am seeing in central Europe. I have been to Mons a few times to play rugby. Are you close to there?:beerchug:

Re: New Member from Germany
I tired getting these guys in europe together once and all I heard was :violin: cost to much in gas or it was to far... but good luck trying, I'm in.

Big Beers are better, and so are Big Intakes.....

Just ordered the new FAST LSXRT 102mm Intake, adapter harness and LS7 90mm Throttle Body from a late model Vette. If this does not push it over 500 HP I give up....
Tracy, as for the "cost too much for gas" boys, we will have to spice it up a bit. Some of those girls who hang off your Hummer could show up and maybe they have some motivation to drive a bit.....If not, I guess it is just you and m.e We get all the beer, girls and bratwurst :beerchug: |
Short block done....its going to be bad azz!
3 Attachment(s)
Short block is done. Waiting on the FAST LSXRT to come in. Will be fabricating an intake since there is not one I know of for a Hummer with a 90mm throttle body. Anyone who knows where I can get a 90mm elbow and tubing to make one?
Had to modify oil pump to clear new timing set and modify (heat and hammer) the windage tray to clear the stroker crank. Ordered a MSD Dashhawk...so the 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times can be done on the Autobahn soon. |
Re: New Member from Germany
your Hummer is going to be tooooo fast for me to keep up with my stock truck.

408 EuroHummer almost ready to ship
1 Attachment(s)
Shipping the 408 EuroHummer 28 December to Bremerhaven, Germany. Will stop by the Hummer Racing Club in Bochum on the way down south. Looking at some real off road fun. Might try my hand a some off road racing.
Contemplating a procharger Attachment 51935to boost the HP up into the 800 range. I think I will destroy my 4L65e soon, so I am looking at an 80e. We will see how she runs in a few weeks when the intake and fuel rails come in. FAST/Comp Cams is still manufacturing the first fuel rails and hardware to put the LSXRT manifold on a chevy/hummer truck. I may be the first customer in the world to receive the new intake and hardware and get it on a rig and running. My H2 engine is in the truck, only waiting on the intake components to fire up. Will hand build the CAI from 90mm tubing and hoses I bought online. They are telling me 30 hp increase with my setup. I wont know for sure, because I am not going to dyno it with and without the LSXRT. :beerchug: |
