Re: Katzkin Leather
Nice seats but if you look on the web site they only have covers for 03+04 h2. What year did the seats change? 05?

Re: Katzkin Leather
New motor and interior in 2008. There may be slight changes from 2004 and 2005, but they look the same to me. My truck is obviously a 2005.

X2!!!! I've got a set of brand new Katzkin black perforated covers sitting at my shop just sitting there. Black looks good but your color looks great. Mark |
Re: Katzkin Leather
Nice covers
Is anyone having to do anything with their seat foam? |

I couldve gotten black for significantly cheaper, but I just had to change it up...give the old ride a new feeling! |

I dont know of anyone else who had installed aftermarket leather, but i did not have to do anything with the foam. But then again, im just a normal sized guy at 6' 195. |

Re: Katzkin Leather
Has anyone replaced their carpet?
I'm looking for a H2 right now and I've been looking at 04's with about 60k on them. One I saw today the owner had kids and the carpet and seats were trashed. The other problem is the silver area around the inside door handles is worn off. Has anyone repainted these plastic door panels? Not trying to hijack the thread but I've looked at 3 so far and only one didn't have interior issues and he wont budge on price. Thanks |

Actually, that's kind of unusual. Usually H2 owners take care of their vehicles more so than a soccermom in a minivan or SUV. Anyway, replacing carpet shouldn't be a big deal but I'll bet you're getting in the 1200-1500 range. ...point is, I'd check with a local upholstery shop (unless you plan on doing it yourself.) just to be on the safe side. Re: Katzkin Leather
how about headliner replacement?
considering a black headliner. |

Trashed seats can be obtain without kids ;). The reason why i changed my interior was because my leather was so bad I couldnt handle it any more. Remember, this was a 2 year old $60,000 with 42,000 miles in the pictures: http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=29048 |

Looking at the pictures i could see how that would look nice, but honestly the thought never crossed my mind. I suppose it is b/c im rarely look up while driving. My goal was not really to pimp my ride, but rather fix the terrible leather that was in my truck. |

Wow, that is terrible. I know GM's quality for their leather sucks in comparison to other brands but even my 114K mile H2 didn't have seats in nearly that condition. (of course, I don't weigh 400lbs and sleep in my truck....:) ) Glad to see you got the katzkins on it now, it looks a WHOLE LOT better. Mark |
