Different car/cars but same company. This is the fix for the gas pedal problem, for now :giggling:

Are you freakin' kidding me? A shim? That's causing a gas pedal to be held at WOT?

We'll see if this fixes it....

I don't really think they know what is causing the acceleration problem. I would be more inclined to think it's electrical in nature. When the 767 first came out with the fly by wire system they had to modify it to protect it from elelctric and magnetic pulses from the plane's own radar and lightning strikes and that wasn't discovered until after hundreds of hours of testing. Give me cables and linkages that go directly to the unit I want to control (i.e. fuel injectors) any day!

That was my point... I highly doubt it's a gap in the pedal assy that is causing this.

I got ten bucks that says this is a attempt for damage control until they can find out the real problem is.
