Getting a? Tighten Gas cap? warning????

This just starting the other day, going down road and get a warning signal with tighten gas cap on the dash. Has this happened to anyone?

This seems to be common with GM vechiles. My S10 did it 2 weeks ago and I checked the gas cap to see the gasket was cracked and dried out. I replaced it and when I got home I pulled the negative cable for a few minutes and reset the code. All has been ok since.

It really has a light that say's tighten gas cap? I have only seen a check engine light and a code for evap... that's pretty cool.

Did it stop after you tightened it up?
