Fabtech 6" Swap - Advice

So I've come across an opportunity to swap my stock suspension with a 6" fabtech off another owner's H2.

All I have to pay for is the removal/swap/reinstall.

Looking for advice from anyone who has had a lift. What should I look for? Any stress points to check to make sure no major failure is imminent? Any certain known-flaws or signs of failure?

I'd appreciate any help. This would be my first lift, not sure if there is any kind of warranty from Fabtech, let a lone if it's been transferred from one vehicle to another.

Thanks!

See it the Fabtech tie rods are also installed if so yank em and swith them with the stockers, Make sure you also swap the front drive shafts, fabtech comes with new front drive shafts, also just buy some new shocks instead of using the used ones.

splne1 brings up some good points. You might want to get a clarification on what parts are included in the swap before you do it.

STOP!!!

Before you make the swap, remember this.

In order to put the Fabtech kit on, you have to cut the lower part of the control arm brace and weld a block off plate.

Point is, you can take his kit off and install it on your truck but you can't make his stock again. (well, I guess you could make the cut and remove the piece that comes off yours and weld it back on his)
