turn off auto door locks

Does anyone know how to turn off the automatic door lock feature? It doesn't appear to be a choice in the programming, only choices appear to be in gear and 8mph. Would really like to turn this function off.

Programmable Automatic
Door Locks

Your vehicle is equipped with an automatic lock/unlock
feature which enables you to program your vehicle?s
power door locks. You can program this feature through
the Driver Information Center (DIC), or by the following
method. See

DIC Operation and Displays on page 3-44

for more information on DIC programming.

Programmable Locking Feature

The following is the list of available
programming options:

Mode 1:

All doors lock when the transmission is shifted
out of Park.

Mode 2:

All doors lock when the vehicle speed is
greater than 8 mph (13 km/h).

Mode 3: No automatic door locking.

Oddly enough mine does not have mode 3. Its a 2005 if it makes any difference. Been all through the Helms manual with no success. I'll look again tonight, but I'm sure its not there.....

Yeah...that's weird. My '05 has all three modes as an option.

Hi my 2008 only has 2 modes to. I would love to turn them off they are a PITA. The off feature is not offered in 2008 H2
