air only blows out the defroster vent now
 

My battery went dead Monday ,so I got a new one on tues (group 79) now the heat or ac only blows out the defrost vent . It was working fine B4 the dead battery . I'm going to try the reset trick by starting it than shut it off unhook the battery and wait 2 min than start it and wait 2 min and shut it off , disconct the battery wait connect it again start again and hope if not replace the door accuator $125.00 . What a pain in the A$$. I think it is the accuator is on the driver side just above the gas pedel . Why the hell do they always quit in the defrost position ? If anyone knows a better way let me know . I miss the days of cabels to work the HVAC .
