I mean that in a good way!

Today I had my fiber installed at the house. It is running my dial tone and data – so far my speeds have been constant at 19.8Mbps download and 8Mbps upload. Needless to say I am pretty happy with that!

Congrats on the speed of light!

Damn, that's cool. Did you download the Moab vid again just for sh*ts and giggles?

Damn, only $40/month! I pay almost that much for my cable

shipbldr 02-15-2006 05:44 PM

I'm happy to see you are getting enough fiber.

Ipedog 02-15-2006 05:51 PM

I dumped my DSL at $50/mo and 1.somthing mbs for $35 5mbs fiber. Not too shabby!

VTSTOMPER 02-15-2006 06:07 PM

I have found my linksys 4pt Wireless G router kills the speeds on wireless only. I was hoping the 54Mbps would just pass the 20Mbps of Internet bandwidth through, but no. I only see 8Mbps on the wireless network - still 20Mbps on the wired lan.
I wonder if the security is slowing things...weird.

dman how much is that a month.....3500

VTSTOMPER 02-15-2006 08:46 PM

Well I had ADSL2+ (best effort 24Mbps down 2 up - it boiled down to about 13Mbps down and 1Mbps up) for $34.95/month.

SO - they just upgraded me to the Fiber for an extra $5/month. So about $40 + dialtone and LD = about $70/Month for my total phone bill, calls included. I am getting a real 20ish Mbps down, and 8Mbps up!
