Air Suspension to Spring Lift
 

I want to lift my 03 H2, which has rear air suspension. But I want a lift kit that uses springs. Do I need to swap the airbags for springs before I lift it or can I just use the springs for the lift kit to swap out the airbags?

Hi just much sure you tell the company that you buy the lift from that your truck has air ride on it now, so you get the right rear springs.

I had to swap over to springs when my compressor crapped out. I bought from Suncore Industries and I remember seeing a spring conversion w/ lift option. It's a quick fix if you have the proper rolling jack and stands. Good Luck.

Good move, I had to do the same. Better to have hardware back there then airbags anyways, less electronic problems to deal with over time. Can't really pop or have issues with a steel spring.

Dont waste your money replacing the bags if you're getting a lift kit down the road...you'll swap them for the kit springs anyways, just do it all at once.
