It's under the hood on the driver side it's the bare metal piece, it's rubbing into the hoods firewall and has put a hole into it? Has anyone and idea what it is?

Looks like a wire clamp that someone had added.
Why not bend it down so it doesn't hit the hood....or take it off

Don't see it in the Factory manual diagram either.
