12v Switched Power Source for Bluetooth system
Need to hook up BlueTooth. Had it hooked into a GMX550 Lock Pick that just didn't work correctly. Removed the Lock Pick but still want the bluetooth.
I will mostlikely use Power Source for Radio, anyone know which wire in the harness is the power. 2008 H2 |

2 Attachment(s)
Attachment 53307
Attachment 53308 Think these are the pin-outs for both BTW on the small connector block - PIN A puts the radio into "Phone" and activates a mono audio input across pins L and M |

Hi what brand of bluetooth are you using? I have gm bluetooth and a gmx 550 in my 2008 truck and it works great.

Re: 12v Switched Power Source for Bluetooth system
Well the problem with the GMX 550 is the reverse video was washed out. I left the factory camera and wiring alone. GMX 550 Video on the move and iPod interface worked fine.
Using Parrott 3000 Bluetooth. |
Re: 12v Switched Power Source for Bluetooth system
I installed the BlueFusion Bluetooth, which plugs right into the XM module, works perfectly and even streams audio from my iPhone via Bluetooth! Not a seller of this device, but am now a fan! Google it, install is simple.:perfect10s:

I owe you one! BLUEFUSION. I will eat. $89 bucks I paid because Parrot sucked! I'll be getting this in the morning.....:OWNED: Man you saved me at least 1 hour and having to splice into wires etc..... |
Re: 12v Switched Power Source for Bluetooth system
Glad to help, there is an install video on YouTube if you search for bluefusion.
Like I said, it works great and the mic can be well hidden so everything looks stock...much better than the parrot unit in my opinion. Good luck!!!! |
Re: 12v Switched Power Source for Bluetooth system
It just arrived @ House. Saw the Video. Can't wait to get it in.
Don't know why when I searched for Bluetooth I never saw it. I guess because I was adding Bluetooth to the GMX550, and the Parrot works OK with it. Anyway once again this Forum saves me time and $$$$. I did hear that the Music playback is not all that great, I have no issues using the AUX input so don't really care. I will say that US automakers were slow to get the built in bluetooth stuff. My H2 is a 2008 and should have had an OEM BT setup. |
Re: 12v Switched Power Source for Bluetooth system
I really have no complaints on the sound of the music...it's great. I did hear the iPhones were having some distortion, but that's avoided by turning the equalizer off in the iPhone settings...never had mine turned on, maybe that's why mine sounds fine. Good luckmon the install...hopefully it works as great for you!
Here's one thing, your Bluetooth is controlled by the top left preset in your XM channels display. Have to press the button to get to the blue fusion and again to ge it to go back to radio...no problem though...just took me a few minutes to figure out. |
Re: 12v Switched Power Source for Bluetooth system
Ok got it @ 4:30 hooked up with a Pro Clip mount to hold iphone done @ 5:00. Put a pro clip in my wifes Volvo also during the 30 minutes Only took so long because my 4yo was helping. SOUNDS GREAT! BT audio clear as a bell. Falls into my top 5 add ons I've ever purchased! Best part no splicing, cutting, trim removal.....
THANKS :-) |

Re: 12v Switched Power Source for Bluetooth system
BTW the Bluetooth switches back to Radio/XM after the call in my model. I just got the Iphone4 so I suspect the EQ is not on, but I am suprised how well the Audio sounds via Bluetooth. Voice dial (I didn't even know the phone did that), Call announce, ability to scroll thru incomming/missed/outgoing. Best part is my 4yo can play games while it continues to stream audio.
