Okay, I know I could do a search, and I did. But there is so many threads and it's too hard!

I just want something inconspicuous or temporary/removable and prefer black with rubber gripping. Does anyone have something that they recommend? It does not have to be specific to my preferences.

Thanks in advance.

OEM Removable U Steps. They are black and come off easily (5 mins).

X2. That's the way to go. I know you two plan on off roading this rig, so that's what I would go with if it was mine! ...dreaming.

Those power step are nice, but you have to remove your rockrails to instal and I saw one side get wrecked at a HUMMER Happening this Summer. So, I would try to stay clear of those.

Ken should be on all fours so you can step on his back to get it in.

The XTC rocker steps (can be found right here here on h2source) are what I got to allow my mother and mother in law to climb in my stock H2.

Twice as many bolts to remove/add, but I like them because they're less bulky than the long nerf bars.

I got the plain black ones. They came with some thick non skid tape that wouldn't stick real well and came up on the corners. I promptly replaced with some stair tread grip tape (aka skateboard tape) which is thinner and stays on real well. Unfortunately it also really scrapes up the back of your calf really well if you're in shorts and slide your leg along the tube. I quickly trained myself around this issue.

BTW, the XTC tubes will bolt right onto the stock round rocker bars.

Also, they're real small, so you can take them off at a trailhead and not waste a lot of space to store them until you get back to the road.

Then I would need a stirrup.

Thanks guys.

Kodiak Sidewinder has a small retracting step that fits the H2. I looked at these earlier in the year and if memory is correct, you keep your rock rails but do need to modify them.

The OEM steps are cool. Several people took them off when they arrived in Moab, and stored them, you-know-where.

But, I'll keep looking for something really cool, not the same ole' thing. Just keep walking on Ken's back until you find something or we have some built.

If I remember, your is lifted. Look at the NFABS. I like em. They fit up close to the truck so unless your a real hard core off roader, there is no need to take them off. They look great too.

Damn. I hadn't thought of that solution :-)! I'm even more idiotic and lift her dog in and out the back for her and put up with the dog hair. The things I'll do for her to clean, cook and and babysit.

Thanks Phil! I asked and appreciate it, as always.
