Purchased replacement springs - advice on GM doing the work

I finally got a set of replacement springs for my H2 and need to get them on in place of the airbags as they leak almost 24/7 now.

I would like to keep the compressor in place and need to know the following:

1. Will GM do the work since I did not buy the parts from them
2. What should it cost
3. How do I keep the compressor from coming on once I have the springs in
4. Where do I pull the fuse or unit that controls the supsension warning on the dash

Thanks,

Shawn

Way to go man. Here is the link that was posted sometime ago about the Service Air Suspension thing and the fuse:

Besides that, I would really try to see if someone else could do the springs besides GM, but it is up to you. 4x4 places have usually worked with this setup before, so they should be able to do the swap pretty quick; though I do understand not wanting anyone to touch the Hummer that doesn't know jack about Hummers, (been there, done that before). Just feel bad for the raping that the dealership will give you for the servicing, that's all.:twak:

I'd like to know the answer to this question as well

I decided to keep the compressor after the spring swap but hear it come on every now and then.

Thanks for the information and I am going to call around to see who will do the work before just dropping it off at the GM dealer.

I will let you know what happens.

Thanks again!

On the compressor, best thing to do is just unplug it. Just have to pull the harness connector from it that is giving it power and it shouldn't turn back on.
