My 3 has a five speed and I have a problem with the RPMs climbing between shifts.I know when it's cold that may be normal, but when it's warmed up the problem pops up intermitently.Has anyone had this problem or an idea what it may be.I know it's all electronic and I've had it to dealer once for this issue.Any info would be appreciated.

Yeah mine seems to do that, not sure what the cause is.

Mine does that too. I believe its suppose to do that. Keeps the RPMs up between shifts. Helps out the small engine I think.

Hey thanks for your response.I'm going to bug my dealer when I bring it in for its first service, maybe they can find something this time.

Ummm... that happened to me too... the engine made a whiney revving sound between shifts.

I noticed that it doesn't take much pedal movement for the clutch to disengage, so I had to let off of the gas much earlier than I used to in the other GM truck I drove for 12 years.

So, push the clutch in slower, let off the gas a little sooner. I know, it sounds too easy, but try it yourself and see if you notice that it stops... it did for me. (it still happens to my husband when he doesn't move the seat back a notch before he drives it)
