what is the largest tire i can use on stock frame?
 

i have an 07 sut and was wanting to get some larger rims and tires, right now it has the 17" 315/35 goodyears, my truck is stock with no lift or spacer and was needing to know what is the largest tire diameter i can go up to that will clear my suspenion and fenders? any info would be great.

well it depends on what rims you are thinking of. stock rims with 37's will normally clear. i have 17" Xd addicts with 4.5 in of backspace i believe with 37x13.5x17 ss m16's and have no rub but i also have the truxxx level kit. If you go with anything over an 18 in rim id stick with 35" tires 37's will rub. but just get the GM green keys or a torsion lift and 37's should fit just fine. keep in mind though each rig is a bit different. some have rubbing others dont. just depends on the rig

OFF ROAD TIRES OR BLINGY WHEELS AND LOWPRO STREET TIRES ?

Big Z do you have any pics of your rig posted on the forum ? I have 4.5 backspacing also and was just curious to see yours.

37s are fine - IF - you have a decent alignment done. If you get a rub, then it's the alignment, not your tires.

I would occassionally get a rub on an incline with a sharp turn, but it was never enough to damage anything.
