would you consider the H2 as "rare"
 

This is something i was wondering because last night I was sitting out at starbucks with my brother and sister in clear view of the parking lot.

I had my h2 parked in the front under the lamp post and i noticed that there were people occasionally walking up to it staring and taking pics of and with it. (these were older couples, dads with kids, and teenagers)
At first i was worried because i thought maybe they were trying to do the whole FUh2 flick off thing or maybe they hit my truck parking.

Now my h2 is stock, not big and badass as most of you all on this forum.
I just figured maybe the h2 is in a position where it is a rare vehicle to be seen on the roads. Ive only seen maybe 1 or 2 in my city other than my own.
What do you guys think?

I wouldn't say 'rare'...in the DC Metro area I see several H2/H3s every day. I do get a lot of looks when driving, but I couldn't tell you if it was because the folks are intrigued or disgusted (around here, I'd assume the latter).

A few years ago I took a cross country trip down 66 and caught some Europeans posing for pics in front of it. I suppose they are 'rare' in Europe.

It's a pretty rare suv here in Vancouver...though there are quite a lot of H3'S here. ANd the size alone makes them stick out....

In the NW Florida area we could start our own chapter there are so many and there are a bunch of businesses using them as rolling billboards too. So I would not say rare around these parts.

I have never seen a lifted H2 in person other than the one I own. There are a handful in my town but not many. H3's of course are more abundant. I wouldn't call them "rare" yet but they are pushing it.

i have yet to see a lifted h2 on the road! ive only seen maybe one or two at the car shows

Me neither...all of them around this way are pretty much stock, with the occasional blinger. I'm running spacers and Cognito leveling kit and I'm the tallest one I've actually seen.

There are about 6 H2s in my neighborhood and my neighbor 2 houses down from me has an H1. Seeing a Hummer in the north Dallas area is almost like seeing a Tahoe.

Not too many around my area maybe 6 or so. But when I travel to Columbus I see lots of them mostly stock a few blingers and never a lifted one like mine. I always get a thumbs up or a arm out the window down there. But around home its mostly a few thumbs up but a whole lot of one finger salutes. :fdance:

By the numbers there are actually around 1,000 more H2's that were produced then H3's

Which is hard to tell when driving around.

But yea, It's definately not a boring everyday toyota that everyone has anyway

I don think H2's are rare

I do think my H2 is rare though!!:p

Seriously though, I have yet to see another lifted H2 running around Maryland.

I'll have to send some friends with lifted HUMMERs around on a tour.
Maybe it has something to do with all the country boys too cause there
are a good number of lifted ones too. I would say a 1 to 4 ratio

In Socal, you dont see them often. I would consider them rare/ semi exotic. Nothing has the presence of an H2, well maybe an h1.

I live in Germany/Europe and that happens to me all the time because over here they are rare and mine stands out a bit :)

Not many H2 here down under in OZ. Definitely rare here and turns heads wherever i go. IMO it has the potential to become a collectable in the future. Not sure of how many were made but the fact that they are no longer produced, there in your face presence has people talking.

They are very sought after here when it comes to chaueffer driven events such as weddings etc, along with other collectable aussie and american muscle cars

Not True-
Total production figures on the H2 were 149,939 - AM General and wikipedia agree on this figure.
Total production figures on the H3 were 156,867 - GM's figures are a little higher than wikipedia on this model.
Even lower numbers are H2s produced from 2006 on 37,511
Lowest numbers are for the H3 Alphas and 2005 and up H2 SUTs. 2005 and up SUT production is 21,312.
I have to agree with most, that although H2s are plentiful around here with Lynch right around the corner, I don't see nearly as many as I saw two years ago. When winter comes here, you see the Hummers come out of garage retirement!

You must live close to me. My neighborhood is covered with H2's, and my son's school....forgetaboutit

I can attest to that! Two of my friends got married this summer, my fiance and I were both in each wedding and I was the "limo" for both weddings as well. I put a little step ladder outside the back door for the bride, she climbs in, we stuff the dress in with her, the groom and my girl get in, I blast the train horn, little kids start crying, and we drive to the reception. Good times.
