As a result, the Grams per Second (GPS) signal from the MAF may be low and any or all of the concerns listed above may occur. </P> When servicing a vehicle with any of these concerns, be sure to check for the presence of an aftermarket reusable, excessively/over- oiled air filter. The MAF, GPS reading should be compared to a like vehicle with an OEM air box and filter under the same driving conditions to verify the concern.</P> The use of an aftermarket reusable air filter DOES NOT void the vehicle's warranty.</P> If an aftermarket reusable air filter is used, technicians should inspect the MAF sensor element and the air induction hose for contamination of oil prior to making warranty repairs.</P> Transmission or engine driveability concerns (related to the MAF sensor being contaminated with oil) that are the result of the use of an aftermarket reusable, excessively/over-oiled air filter are not considered to be warrantable repair items.</P> </P> <TABLE width="100%"> <TBODY> <TR> <TD align=left width=778><FONT size=1>GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". Klaus what are We to do? Check and make sure they are not over oiled? Perf. shop put mine on infact it was the company that had been making proflash programer. I bought his air sys., throttle body spacer, and programer. I know that anyone that has used K and N should know that after they clean and reoil that You spray oil to just barely change color from white to I'll call it pink or very light red or at least that is what I have always done. Seriously what is Your thinking on this so if i need to do something different I want to know right away and do it. I know I have been in for 1 oil change and service and I see the same ser. manager every time or if i call I talk to Him. He has never mentioned anything. Please let Me know what you are think or are hearing should be done. Go back to stock?
