Bose 6 disc vs. Navigation
 

Does anyone know if the Bose 6 disc and the factory gm navigation radio have the same plugs on the rear of the radio? My few concerns are: Is it plug and play? Will the steering wheel controls work? Is there any other mods that need to be done to make the nav work ie. antenna or control module? Does the radio have the XM module in it or will I have to buy something extra? I have one i can get for really cheap that has never been installed and want to make sure it will work before I get it.

Hi just some of what you need is the GPS antenna,VSS wire or harness, Nav CD. If you just install a used Nav radio it will go into theft lock so the dealer has to reprogram it $60 to $100 or buy a used unit that has be reprogrammed with no code, it will be plug and play and no theft lock will come up. Also the Nav radios for a 2007 down H2 will not Nav and play a CD at the same time because their is only one CD slot. 2008 up have 2 slots. There maybe more on 2007 down. I did my truck but its a 2008. Hope this helps abit for what you will run into.
