Re: injector upgrde info
let me know what you find out on this..
i would be somewhat interested in doing this same kind of setup.. |
Re: injector upgrde info
Have you looked at what the 6 liter truck heads are capable of?? There is a reason alot of people are buying those...
You are going to need a custom tune on your ecm. check out performancetrucks.net You should easily find a matched component setup for what your trying to do. I'd budget in your build a new tranny...they dont last long adding additional power to them. You will squeak a little more life out of it if you upgrade the servos- You dont need to pull the tranny to do this. |
Re: injector upgrde info
I've already installed the servos and have a bigger pan and rad for tranny plus I have a shift kit sitting in my shop waiting to go in. So tranny should hold for a bit

Re: injector upgrde info
Call FAST and tell them your setup. They will recommend the proper injectors. Just had to change the connectors on mine to make them work.

Re: injector upgrde info
They sell the connectors also or where did you get tose connectors

Re: injector upgrde info
I've read good things about Mad Dog Transmissions. Anyone used them or know anything about them for tranny upgrades? www.maddogtransmissions.com

Re: injector upgrde info
eurohummer , how do you like running gears for timing instead of chain . i want to end up ith your set up down the road or someting like it

Re: injector upgrde info
FAST sells the connector ends you need.
I am running an SA Gear double roller set, not a gear drive. |

Running gears is really going to be noisy, but then again that might not be a bad thing  |
Re: injector upgrde info
so how do i get my hands on a custom tune there is no shops within 800km radius that does anything like that . and dont feel right about doing my own with the hptunners program

Re: injector upgrde info
go to ls1tech.net or a sister site performancetrucks.net There are a number of mail order tuners between the two sites. They have done so many at this point, you tell them your mods and they get it pretty dead on.
