roof rack question
 

I bought my new to me 03 h2 and it has roof racks. I see they have keyed locks on them. what are they for? and what key will it use?

The keyed ends are for keeping whatever accessories you have on them, ski rack, HUMMER roof rack, from getting taken easily. You can still remove the racks without the key by removing the stop at the back of the truck and sliding them back.
Keys should have been in the glove box, but there's a few guys on the forums that can offer up some spares if you post up.

There is a number on the keyhole that you will need. If you can't find one on the forums then a GM dealer can get them for you.

I'm not sure, but I think I read somehwere too that there are not too many different combinations of keys for these, meaning that one key will fit many different roof racks... but of course check first, don't just go buying any key...
