Hi guys...

I'm new to hummer's...i'm planning to hook up TVs on the headrest, Indash TV headunit/receiver, amp, speakers and subs. I'd like to know if you guys have any install instructions and any recommendations for the above audio items.

Thanks.

I get my H2 back on Fri from the stereo shop. they just installed the Alpine IVA-D300 DVD player, with Navigation, XM radio, 5.1 Surround processor, rear cam, MB Quart QM-218 in the front and rear doors, MB Quart Q series in the rear pillars, 4 JL Audio 12w6's, all run by JL 300/4 and 1000/1 on a custom amp rack. I will post pics this weekend of the system.

That Is going to sound alsome!

I went with the Kenwood KVT-915DVD receiver...
specs

Works great, picture is perfect, TV reception is shockingly good in my area (20 miles south of Boston), and the eyeball vent doesn't interfere with the screen much at all. In fact, the installer said I'd picked the perfect pop-out screen unit because it extends out a little further than the others they've installed in the H2. It's even mounted in the top slot of the dash kit.

I replaced the factory fronts with MB Quart 216 components and the rears with BA NX67 coaxials. All running off the head unit power. Sound is real good though I think I'll upgrade to a 4-channel amp to get some more volume. It's just loud enough now but doesn't quite keep pace with the sub.

The sub is the JL Stealthbox for the H2. It's got their W-6 sub in it. Powering it is the Kenwood KAC-X810D amp.
specs

I chose this cause I got it dirt cheap on Ebay ($250), it's enough power for the W6 sub, and it's Bass Management System integrates with my Kenwood head unit and allows me greater control over gain and so forth without having to touch the amp itself.

All in all I'm real happy with it. Not audiophile level components but good quality stuff that I was able to find easy enough for cheap on Ebay with room to expand as I see fit.

Next up are some headrest or a flip down monitor, a 4 channel amp for the door speakers, and maybe a Sirius tuner.

wow...both systems sound like it's awesome. just curious did anybody do their own install? i'm the type whose very hands on and don't like anybody touching my car. I've done a few installs in Jetta and Bimmers, but never a H2. Is there anything I need to know before I go ahead with this project? For instance, when I first installed a system in a suburban, I didn't know their front speakers came amped and It was a biotch to figure out.

For the MB Quart QM218 or 216...are there any fitment problems or will they plug right in. I don't want the magnet to be too big (deep) and have fitment problems with the door panel.

As for the screen...I'm thinking about getting the Alpine IVA900.

I've done a few installs myself as well but didn't want to do it to my new $50k truck so I had it done by a pro. I also was leary of being able to retain the On* and factory chimes in the Bose system with the aftermarket adaptors so I made it the installers problem. Lastly, I was only without my truck for a full day versus the week it would probably be in pieces for if I'd done it myself.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any clearance issues with the MBQs.

i went with the pioneer n-1, whats great is it's a dvd player AND nav unit all in one, and for a decent price. jl 300/4 for mb mids and tweets, and 1000/1 to push the pair of w6 stealths (one in each bin). 2 Icon 7" monitors in the headrest. Awesome clarity, but the 7" LCDs are a tad too big so the bezel protrudes a bit. Only regret...i didn't get the system sooner.
