Its a 2003 H2 Does it more when down to 1/4 tank but today did it with 3/4 tank . But it doesn't do it all the time ,thats what so weird . thinking maybe the fuel pump and i did change the filter too! No difference ! Thanks in advance !! jeff

This made me think of one of my Harleys that would start running rough and cut out when the fuel would get below 3/4. Full tank ran fine, down below 3/4 ran terrible. It was driving me nuts. The Harley shop found that there was a hole in the fuel line in the fuel tank and when it got below 3/4 it was't getting the fuel it needed.

Well if you changed the cap and rotor its not a 6.0l

I was thinking what in the hell kind of line of **** is this guy trying to feed us....LOL You actually catching the tach drop, or you just noticing by the seat of your pants a momentary loss of power? Flat/level ground when this happens? |
Re: kinda cutting out a 45 mph for a second
Its not the tcc locking and getting a little bump feeling is it?

Re: kinda cutting out a 45 mph for a second
One thing that i can think of is check pin grip tension at crank sensor connector, not likely if at a certain speed but who knows. Normally for something like that i would install a data recorder and instruct the customer to hit the button when they feel the problem it would then record data to be looked at by the tech.

Re: kinda cutting out a 45 mph for a second
If you can get access to a tech 2 scanner you could take a center triggered snapshot and record data that way. Center trigger will capture data before, during and after event to be compared

Re: kinda cutting out a 45 mph for a second
It's like it loses ingnition for a spit second today it did it at 25 mph then it goes on like nothing happened ! All gauges and electrical stay the same except the tach drops about 1000 rpm when it happens and its only for a second or two and its over !

Re: kinda cutting out a 45 mph for a second
Ive had it to a couple shop but they can't find nothing wrong with it and it doesn't do it for them !

Re: kinda cutting out a 45 mph for a second
Definitely sounds like the tcc culprit

Re: kinda cutting out a 45 mph for a second
I've had this same problem for about the past 6 months. Still haven't figured it out. The old service manager at "Hummer" thinks it's my torque converter, or something else in the transmission. We did all of the normal stuff, such as injector cleaning, etc., but nothing changed. I'm just waiting for something to finally break, then I'll know for sure what it is.

If you have a little computer and engine knowledge, you can pick up a used data logger pretty cheap...seen them as low as $200.
http://www.hptuners.com/ is a damn nice one...base level is scan only. Would work on that corvette in your sig also. Can be upgraded through software key to program/edit your rides also if you really got into it. |
