Do you guys have your chrome accessories painted or replaced?
 

Wanting to go black and not go back so to speak. Door handles gas door, cross bars all need a darker shading to them. Not a gloss.

Also looking at new meats rims. Don't want to destroy the 12.8mpg but 11.8 would not kill me. I have 17's and I'm thinking 37/38"s on a 20" xd badlands black. Any opinion?

I painted most all of mine the same color as the truck. Took a while and some patience but it really looks good.

I did my roof racks with truck bedliner from Walmart. Not glossy at all, more of a rugged finish...

I had all my chrome stripped...metal and plastic chrome. Odds of you finding someone willing to do this are slim to none though.

you can always try Plasti-Dip black spray to see how things look. If you like it peel the stuff off and paint black. That's what I did with my wheels and gas door. Stuff is pretty durable as I haven't gotten around to peeling it off for a more permanent coating.

Did most of mine with powder coat. All but the HUMMER on back bumper, side mirror inserts, and door handles.

Painted the grill the color of my truck.

Line-X'ed and spray-can bedliner'ed just about everything.

i LineX my chrome grill (after i stripepd the chrome off)
roll on bedliner on my luggage rack bars.

i still have my door handles, back side of mirror housing, and the upper lip part of the rear lisc. plate holder/housing that i need to de-chrome.

im seriously thinking of doing LineX on my interior console pieces, i just dont know what to do with the door panels yet....

I purchased black door handles, nerd bars, and gas cover. Purchased stealth gray grill, painted my chrome mirrors and powder coated my oem rims black.
