Matte Black H2 front grill
 

I bought this grill for $100 and paid another $100 to have it professionally painted, only to find out that it will not fit on my 2008 H2 properly. So it is for sale with a two week old paint job. I just want to get my money back out of it. I live in Michigan and will work with you to ship it but it is big.

Or you could just track down an 03-07 'radiator grille'...the lower grille that's missing in your pic. I've definitely seen at least one truck on here that had their's removed to install LED off-road lights...

I'm trying to talk myself into 'going black' on the grille. Do you know how it was prepped before being painted? Was the chrome taken off first?
Reason I ask, I've had other grills blacked out that are a magnet for rock chips because of the lack of prep work before hand.
It would look killer on my beast! I will need it shipped to St. Louis as well.

That's awesome! Did they spray this right over the chrome? I know they had to scuff it of course first.
I use that stuff on nearly everything. My wife has a mesh grill on the front of her black 300C that I had that done to. Also my ladder, luggage rack, front & rear bumpers, nerf bars and old 18's sprayed also.

They scuffed it, then sprayed. They told me it 'might not hold' and that they 'couldn't offer me the guarantee' but it's been damn near 3 years and not one problem.

WOW. Awesome! Question though, I see you have a pet barricade, meaning you have dogs in your cargo area. How do you clean the hair / drool off the plastic? Doesn't it pull fragments / lint off your cleaning rag? I carry my 2 St. Bernards in mine quite often and anywhere their hair or drool touches my bed liner material, it's nearly impossible to wipe off without a trail of lint.

I guess that eliminated nearly all of your rattles and squeaks as well. Good job!

It's way easier to clean Line-X than rattle-can bedliner. I know exactly what you're talking about, because I had to use rattle-can liner on my door panels and dash because Line-X was too thick (since a lot of the pieces have to fit in and over one another.)

You really get no lint trail on Line-X...it doesn't snag your rag like the spray can stuff does. I simply spray it with some cleaner and wipe it off. It's also WAY more durable when it comes to nail scratches. It's been three years and I have no scratches, marks or scars on the rear panels at all. And I'm always hauling sh!t and/or dogs...albeit, smaller dogs; beagles.

Regarding cleaning parts sprayed with the rattle-can liner...I've found if you lightly go over the coated part with a scotch bright pad you'll knock off most of the really rough bits that tend to snag rags. It leaves you with the rough looking texture but makes it a bit easier to clean...cause that can be a pain in the a55, I agree.

Thanks for the tip. I've wanted to do my front center dash piece as it is scratched to hell from the previous owner but the lint issue was a big road block.
I'll try knocking down the high spots on my front bumper as a test piece and see if it still shreds my wash rag & sponge.
