I was at my dealer yesterday and saw the new '04 H2. The rumors are correct about the GPS. You can only run the CD player or the GPS DVD at a time. When I asked them about the logic of this, they said "what do you expect from a 1600 dollar GPS?". I also asked about an XM radio option for the new Hummer and was told that it is not avaiable for '03 or '04 they also said there are no plans for an intergrated CD changer.

Red H2 Adv., no sunroof, XM,750 NAV GPS, Myron & Davis DVD system, Outside spare, third row seat, etc...
2003 Mini Cooper S (Indie Blue) Very fun car!
2002 Avalanche
1999 F350
1997 Passport (son's car}

Nice answer, what a salesman. Sounds like another guy that couldn't hack school.

It's not that hard to understand. We already know the unit isn't a changer. It holds ONE disc. If you have a CD in there, the NAV isnt going to work. And vice versa.

My anser to his reply - "I'd expect something that works like it had some thought designed into it, kind of like other brands that are similarly priced."

The quote came from a salesman. The radio/gps info came from a service guy. I just feel better that I am not missing anything by not changing to the new model year.

i know everyone has been knocking the new unit but i just wanted to voice my opinion..i used the unit for about 15 minutes today and i must say i was impressed..it was very detailed and extremly clear...and i know you cant play a cd while in nav mode but if your lost do you really want to blast the stereo...plus the girl who talks to you when navigating comes through the speakers..so its better to have the radio off to use all of the features..i know its not the best nav unit you could possibly buy but its def a nice one...i hoping that it would be compatible with the 03 becuase i would like to put one in.

I have the DVD NAV in my Benz and I listen to the Radio or CD's while driving. You don't just use the DVD NAV when your lost, you use it to navigate to your destination which could be 20, 50 or 100+ miles away and ya gotta listen to something during the duration of the Navigation especially when you don't know the radio stations where you are going. In my opinion GM has made a major mistake and beleive it or not, most likely has cost them at least 1 sale of a new 04 H2.
