Just fyi...
For anyone debating bypassing the factory bose amp in favor of a real amp....do it. Had originally just changed my door speakers. Sound quality was better but not very loud. Bypassed bose amp and wow. Sounds amazing now.

Pretty easy to do. Im no electrical or mechanical wizard by any means. The Bose "amp" is right underneath the center console. There are two connectors on the back side of it, the one you want is the connector on the drivers side. Unplug it and see there is a row of wires on top and one on bottom. All the door speaker wires are on the top row. Cut them and splice new wires to your amp.
I actually found a wiring diagram that said which speakers were what color on this site. |
