Front bump stops question

How far are the torsion bars supposed to be cranked, I can't even put my finger between the LCA and the upward travel bumpstop, and the passenger side has done a little chunking

Still wondering on this, I mean it is about 1/4-3/8 of an inch from bump stop to the control arm
