Is there a fix for a sticky hood latch?
 

Hey all,
Well I have, what appears to be, a sticky hood latch. Sometimes it sticks (or whatever) and it wont latch the hood closed. It appears that the latch wont move so the latch wont lock the hood down.
I dont think the latch is stick closed because it appears the hood goes all the way down and the side straps can latch without issue.
This is an intermittent problem and it isnt like i can make it happen or not. I have tried to pull the hood release lever prior to dropping the hood, or dropping it a little harder then normal to see if it will latch that way.... still nothing.
It is currently working, but I would like to know what might be the issue so when it happens again i can fix it.

My hood sometimes takes a few times to latch when I put it down, its never really bothered me, I just assume the latch is slightly further down then the hood will set with the bump stops, although it does kinda worry me that the fiberglass might crack over time.
