I searched this topic but didn't find what I was looking for, although I'm sure it's been discussed here--I thought there may be some new input into this old question anyway so I'll re-ask.
Has anyone found a "whiter light" bulb that fits into the factory headlamp assembly? If so where did you find it and do you have a model number? Thanks.

Sylvania Silverstars produce a bright white appearance and can be picked up around $32.00 a set at Wal-Mart, Advance Auto parts and Auto Zones price vary store to store. There are several guys here running them and are very pleased with them. I love mine and found them to be reliable and not cheap like some other bulbs out there.

I got the silverstars, and they are alot better than stock but I still would like brighter.

Frank,
The silver stars are the way to go if you are only looking to change bulbs. They will give you the most bang for your buck. If they are not bright enough for you then the next step is to go with an HID kit which will probably cost you upwards of $500-$600 and involves some installation. I too have the silver stars and I am quite satisfied with them.

I've been on the quest for more & better light from our pathetic porrly designed headlights. I've tried most of the high priced PIAA bulbs without satisfaction. Boy, have they gone downhill.
I finally took someone's advice from this forum and went with the SilverStars. All I can say is WOW!! Much better white light, not that blueish tinted light. I liked them so much I gave them out as little gifts for Xmas for a few different types of vehicles.

Good choice.
